IPv4Center puts the August average 21% below August 2025 and reports a price range of US$10.50 to US$40.00 per IP for the month.

Escrow.com IPv4 Investment Index, Q2 2026 (published 27 August)

Escrow.com recorded 107 IPv4 transactions worth US$9.37 million in the second quarter, with an average deal size of US$87,538, about 6.6% lower than a year earlier. Average prices on large blocks were US$24.67 per address.

Why the figures differ

The datasets cover different transactions: one marketplace's completed deals by month, and one escrow service's deals by quarter, each with its own mix of block sizes and regions. Read them as separate indicators of direction, not as a single market price.

Why it matters for BYOIP teams

Purchase prices feed directly into the buy-versus-lease decision for address space you plan to bring to a cloud. Lower prices shorten the payback period of owning a block compared with paying per-address cloud charges or lease fees.

What to check

• Price by block size and region, not just the blended average; small, clean /24s and large blocks trade at different levels.
• Reputation and routing history of any block before purchase.
