Prefixx IP Leasing Overview
This page outlines the technical, operational and commercial details of Prefixx, a Miami-based IPv4 broker that both sells and leases address space and prepares the routing authorisations a BYOIP deployment needs.
Looking for the best IP providers? Prefixx is a brokerage rather than a marketplace: it declines the spot-market model, contracts leases for fixed terms with a no-revocation guarantee, and prepares LOA, RPKI ROA and IRR route objects in house. One distinction matters before reading further. Prefixx brokers and leases the address space; it does not host it. Bare metal hosting and BGP announcement are delivered by its sister company Netrouting on AS6206, which is listed separately on this site as a BYOIP supporter. If you are comparing the two entries, this is the address-supply side and the Netrouting entry is the hosting side.
This listing was compiled from Prefixx's own published pages and from public registry records. It is editorially researched rather than vendor-confirmed, so fields the company does not publish are marked as not published rather than estimated.
Provider Details

| HQ Country | United States (1200 Brickell Avenue, Suite 1950, Miami, FL 33131) |
| Founded | Specialising in IPv4 brokerage since 2018, with a team the company describes as working in the data centre and networking industry since 2007. |

Service Capabilities
| Capability | Details |
|---|---|
| Offer Type | Both lease and purchase. Brokerage of purchases and divestitures is the core business, with leasing offered alongside it. A number of clients lease first and buy the same space later. |
| Not a Marketplace | Stated explicitly. Prefixx does not operate a spot market or a listing service, and describes a boutique model in which each counterparty is vetted and one broker handles a transaction end to end. |
| Lease Configurations | Contracted terms of 12 to 60 months secured in advance, each carrying a no-revocation guarantee recorded in the work order. Separately, month-to-month short-term rentals are available for projects, test environments and seasonal demand. |
| Purchase Terms | Buyers pay no brokerage fee: the commission is paid by the seller. Funds are held in escrow until the registry confirms the transfer. |
| Supported RIRs | ARIN, RIPE NCC and APNIC by registration, with LACNIC facilitated. |
| IPv4 / IPv6 | IPv4 only. Prefixx describes IPv4 brokerage as the only thing it does, and publishes no IPv6 offering. |
| BYOIP Support | Yes, on the resource and paperwork side. Prefixx states that its space qualifies for the BYOIP programmes of the five major clouds and keeps a setup guide for each, while preparing the LOA, ROAs and route objects. The cloud-side deployment itself runs through each provider's own console and support channels. On Netrouting bare metal the same work is taken further: Prefixx coordinates directly with the NOC to bring the announcement live. |
| Included Management | LOA documentation, RPKI ROA creation, IRR route and route6 objects published to RADB and the relevant RIR, reverse DNS management, point-of-contact management, and white-glove services covering geolocation correction, blacklist monitoring and IP reputation management. All stated as included at no additional cost. |
| Monitoring | A customer portal tracks BGP visibility, RPKI validity, geolocation and reputation for blocks announced through Prefixx. An announcement is treated as verified once visible across RIS peers. |
| Due Diligence | Blocks are put through the company's quality process before transfer, covering reputation, blacklist and chain-of-custody checks, with escrow on the financial side. |
Technical Requirements
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Minimum Prefix Size | /24, with inventory described as running from /24 up to larger allocations. |
| Maximum Prefix Size | Not published. Availability is quoted on request. |
| Provisioning Time | Short-term rental blocks are typically available within 24 hours, and the company states even long-term leases can be provisioned within a day, including LOA, RPKI and reverse DNS. |
| Announcement | From the customer's own autonomous system. Prefixx supplies the LOA and RPKI ROA that authorise the announcement, and can also broker an ASN. |
| IRR Objects | route and route6 objects prepared and published by Prefixx to RADB and the RIR's own IRR. |
| RPKI / ROA / LOA | Created and published for the customer's origin ASN before the first announcement. Issued in the format cloud BYOIP programmes and transit operators expect. |
| Cloud-Specific Requirements | Each programme keeps its own documentation stack, minimum prefix size and provisioning queue, and Prefixx is explicit that those constraints still apply. Check the individual cloud provider pages on this site for the current requirements. |
| Bare Metal Path | Netrouting's AS6206 network spans 28 points of presence on unmetered 10G and 40G, including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Bucharest, Stockholm, Hong Kong and Miami. BYOIP and bring-your-own-ASN are included on every dedicated service there, with no per-IP surcharge. |
Cost and Limitations
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Fees / Pricing | Not published. Every pricing route on the Prefixx site leads to a consultation, and lease and purchase rates are quoted per requirement. Treat this as a quote-only provider when comparing against published rate cards. |
| Buyer Fees | None on purchases. The company states the commission is paid entirely by the seller, and describes a no-win, no-fee arrangement. |
| White-Glove Add-On | No additional charge. Geolocation correction, blacklist monitoring and reputation management are stated as included with a lease. |
| Per-IP Surcharge | None for announcing owned or leased space on Netrouting bare metal. |
| Minimum Term | Month-to-month for short-term rentals. Contracted leases start at 12 months and run to 60. |
| Revocation | Each lease carries a no-revocation guarantee for the full contract term, recorded in the work order. |
| Scope Limitation | Prefixx does not take customer prefixes onto its own infrastructure. Hosting is a separate arrangement, whether with Netrouting or with a provider of your choosing. |
| Not Published | Lease and purchase rates, current inventory by RIR, contract templates, abuse-handling turnaround and any ARIN Qualified Facilitator standing. Request these directly. |
How This Differs From the Netrouting Listing
Prefixx and Netrouting sit under the same holding company and appear separately on this site, so it is worth being precise about which does what.
- Prefixx supplies the addresses. Brokerage, leasing, escrow, registry transfers, and the LOA, RPKI and IRR paperwork that authorises an announcement.
- Netrouting supplies the network. Dedicated and bare metal servers on AS6206, direct BGP peering, and the announcement itself.
- They are commonly bought together, and Prefixx describes Netrouting as its flagship partner, but neither requires the other. Space bought or leased through Prefixx can be announced by any operator that accepts BYOIP, and Netrouting hosts space sourced elsewhere.
