EDIS Global BYOIP Integration Overview

Worth Knowing
Cyprus, Frankfurt and New York are documented examples, not every VPS country. A separate qualifying prefix is required per location. IPv6 BYOIP and the public provider ASN are not documented.

Searching for the best IP providers? EDIS Global offers IPv4 BYOIP for VPS services, either with full platform integration or with manual address configuration. Contact EDIS to arrange onboarding. The documented examples are Cyprus, Frankfurt and New York; that is not a claim that every EDIS location accepts a prefix.

Caveats and Gotchas

  • The country list is examples from the guide, not an exhaustive map of the VPS catalog.
  • Full integration assigns addresses on the VPS (up to 10 additional addresses) and supports portal reverse DNS. Partial integration leaves the provider primary IP in place; you manage imported addresses, and portal reverse DNS does not cover them.
  • A later request at the same or another location is charged again. Multiple prefixes in one request share the setup fee.

Step-by-Step BYOIP Process

Step 1
Contact EDIS and name the location.

Onboarding is provider-assisted, not a self-serve import.

Step 2
Show RIR registration and right of use, plus the LOA or ROA the routing method needs.
Step 3
Choose full integration or partial configuration.

Full integration can assign up to 10 additional addresses per VPS and offers portal reverse DNS.

Step 4
Use a separate qualifying prefix if you need the same service in another location.

Cost and Limitations
